03b · Miniatures
The commercial role of the 50ml.
Which ranges have a 50ml
Flavoured 30% and Traditional 60% are bottled in 50ml as well as 700ml. Premium 45% is 700ml only — there is no Premium miniature.
Discovery
A miniature lets a customer try an unfamiliar category, or an unfamiliar flavour, at a smaller outlay before committing to a 700ml bottle.
Gifting and hampers
Miniatures suit gift sets, hampers and mixed-flavour selections built in store, and give gift-led retail a lower price point on the counter.
Impulse and seasonal
Small formats work at the till and on seasonal displays, where a 700ml bottle is a considered purchase.

05 · Buyer questions
The honest answers.
- My customers don't know what moonshine is.
- Use the staff guide to introduce it simply: authentic Polish moonshine produced in Britain, in three strengths and nine core flavours. We also supply serve ideas and, where agreed, staff tastings.
- 60% ABV sounds difficult to sell.
- It is the highest-strength expression in the current range. Explain the ABV clearly; customers seeking a lower-strength starting point can be shown the 30% flavoured range or Premium 45%.
- Nine flavours is too many for my shelf.
- A focused six-flavour selection can introduce the range without using the whole shelf. Mix and match is available; AK confirms the eligible combination and applicable tier at order stage.
- What if it doesn't sell?
- Introductory trial orders are available to selected trade customers. The 50ml formats on applicable ranges can support a smaller-format discovery or gifting offer before a retailer selects its 700ml assortment.
- Is there anything my dietary-led customers can't have?
- Every product in the current range is listed by AK as gluten free and vegan. Detailed dietary or allergen questions are answered by AK directly.
- Do you sell direct and undercut me?
- The buyer pack compares published trade prices with the stated AK customer-website RRP for illustration. RRPs are recommendations only; retailers remain free to determine their own resale prices and should assess their own costs.
- Who am I buying from?
- AK Distillery Ltd, a small-batch producer in Stalybridge, Greater Manchester, with a Food Hygiene Rating of 5. Supplier due-diligence documentation is available on request to verified trade customers.
