Selling it, not just stocking it.

Moonshine is an unfamiliar category for many customers. This page is written for the people on the floor: what to say, what to suggest, and how to lay the range out.

Thirty seconds

What to say when a customer asks.

“Bimber is the Polish word for moonshine — a home-distilling tradition, made here in Britain by a small distillery in Stalybridge. There are three strengths: Traditional at 60%, Premium at 45%, and a flavoured range at 30% with nine flavours. It's all gluten free and vegan.”

Then ask one question: does the customer want something to sip, something to mix, or something to give? That single question routes them to a strength.

Flavour discovery

Nine flavours, three directions.

Fruit-led

Raspberry · Peach · Kiwi · Passion Fruit

Dessert-led

White Chocolate · Tiramisu · Irish

Nut-led

Roasted Hazelnut · Pistachio

The nine core flavours are Irish, Raspberry, Kiwi, Roasted Hazelnut, Pistachio, Peach, Tiramisu, White Chocolate, Passion Fruit. Grouping them into three directions on the shelf gives a customer a way in without reading every label.

Serving

Four ways the range is served.

  • Straight

Chilled, in a small glass, for customers who want to taste the spirit itself.

  • Shots

The traditional way the flavoured range is served — measured, and served responsibly.

  • Highball

Flavoured 30% lengthened with soda, lemonade, tonic or ginger ale over ice.

  • Cocktails

Traditional 60% and Premium 45% are the unflavoured expressions bartenders tend to reach for; the flavoured range can stand in where a recipe would otherwise need a separate flavouring.

Serve ideas are suggestions for trade staff. Venues set their own measures and specifications. Please serve and enjoy responsibly.

700ml on the shelf and back bar

The full-size format for the spirits fixture and for on-trade pouring. Facing two or three flavours next to Traditional 60% and Premium 45% shows the whole idea of the range in one glance.

50ml for gifting and discovery

Miniatures suit counter baskets, hampers, mixed-flavour selections, add-on purchase at the till and seasonal gifting. Available on Flavoured 30% and Traditional 60% only — Premium 45% is 700ml.

Seasonal moments

Dessert-led flavours read well for winter gifting; fruit-led flavours suit summer long drinks and outdoor events. Limited editions, when available, can anchor a seasonal display.

Explain the category on the fixture

Most shoppers meet bimber for the first time on your shelf. A short line of shelf copy — Polish moonshine, produced in Britain — does more work than a price flash.
